Another post from India

Today was super cool. We went somewhere Eric has not been before. We went to the Ganges River to a very interesting city called Richikesh. Prem dropped us on one side of the River. We ate at a German bakery and then made our way across a very long foot bridge. If you know me well, you know I do not like bridges. I mean I like to look at them, but I am not crazy about crossing them in cars or on foot. This one is very long and narrow and SHAKES! Dean and Eric took their time going across, but I got across as quickly as possible. This is the yoga capital of the world. This is not the yoga of the USA. This is much more cultish in nature. Pretty intense. Being a guess further north, there were a lot more crafts from the Nepal. There were a lot of really cool wool items. I managed to not buy anything. I did get a couple of nice photos, though.

We came back into town to have chi with Eric’s language teacher. That was so much fun. They are a delightful couple. We talked and laughed for nearly three hours. We have done a lot of walking. Hopefully, I have walked off all the chi I have been drinking. We walked a block or so until we found an auto (3 wheeled taxi/motorscooter type thing). Ashley, we really miss you as our windblock. J We had a nice dinner with Lindsey, made plans to go sari shopping tomorrow sarre, then caught another taxi to Eric’s. We started trying to pack. It is so hard to believe we are leaving his town tomorrow night. We will take the overnight train to Delhi and fly our the afternoon of the 26th. Delhi may be more crazy than normal as it is their independence day.
