Bath

Oops, put these in backwards- the end ones are first. Oh well.
Bath was one of our favorite stops on our tours. Things in the museum dated back to the 1st century.


Below is what was below one of the mosaic floors. The opening was high enough to allow heated water to go below and heat the floor.

This was great- instead of just showing you the pieces they found, they did a computer animation to show what it probably looked like.
I think this guy was part of a drama that had ended just as we got there, but he looked so realistic standing there, I had to take his photo.

The Bath Abbey

The statues were added much later than most of the other items here in the area.
In the restaurant you could get a glass of spa water. I was not impressed.
